Tasmiya helps you and your partner choose a name for your child. This explains exactly what the app stores, why, and what it never does.
You never create an account. There is no sign-up, no email, no password, and no profile. When you first open the app it quietly creates an anonymous identifier so your own likes can be saved and, if you choose, shared with one partner. That identifier is a random string. It is not linked to your name, your email, your phone number, or your Apple ID, and we have no way to work out who you are from it.
The names you like, pass, or save for later. This is the point of the app. It is stored so your list survives closing the app and reinstalling it, and so a partner you link with can see which names you both like.
Your link code and who you are linked with. A code connects exactly two people. We keep a record of links and unlinks so the two-person rule can be enforced.
A notification token, only if you turn on Match moments. This is an address Apple uses to deliver a notification to your device. It identifies a device, not a person. Your partner cannot see it. If you switch Match moments off, it is deleted.
Anything you send us on purpose. If you send feedback, report a problem with a name, or request that a name be researched, we store what you wrote. If you choose to include an email address so we can reply, we store that too. These fields are optional and always yours to leave blank.
Supabase hosts the database and runs the anonymous sign-in, as our hosting provider.
Apple delivers notifications. To do that, Apple receives the notification itself and your device's notification token. The notification deliberately does not name the name you matched on, so a name you are keeping private does not appear on your lock screen.
That is the entire list. There is no one else.
Your likes stay until you change them or ask us to delete them. Unlinking from a partner immediately stops them seeing your list.
Because there are no accounts, we cannot look you up by name or email. If you want everything deleted, send a request from inside the app (More, then Share feedback) and say so. That message carries your anonymous identifier, which is what lets us find and delete the right data. Deleting the app from your device also stops any further notifications.
Tasmiya is intended for adults choosing a name for a child. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the updated date at the top will change and the new version will be published here before the change ships.
